A Flower Called You
Everything was fine just a couple hours ago, everything was perfect indeed. They were just hanging out together with the others from the class, having some fun, going to grab some dinner. There were Masa, Shiho, and the others chitchatting under the lights of downtown, folded by the breeze wind of the soonly coming twilight. It was an evening full of laughter, full of smile decorating each of their face who were excitedly telling each other stories of their own, sharing anecdote. Really, it had been one.. until Masa jumped to his feet, along with his heart fell to his stomach, when Shiho suddenly fainted.
Later in the night, sleepless Masa patiently waited for his twin sister from outside her ward, alone. Their parents sure weren't coming since they were abroad, and so Masa called them just for them to know so they would send money for Shiho's cure. He sighed deeply, inhaled and exhaled heavily. The doctor had let him to come inside, yet he wasn't dare enough.
"For heaven's sake, we're twins.. how in the heck she's the only one suffering?" Masa's heart was filled with guilt and grief. "why can't I take half of her pain? to make it fair.. to share it as siblings.. as twins.." He spilled out his redeem in silence.
And so he walked into the ward. Standing still, staring at his sleeping sister. Shiho might just no longer in pain, for now, but seeing her all asleep made Masa somehow scared that she wouldn't wake up again. He took a seat beside Shiho's bed, caressing her sister's hair, down to her eyes, wishing for it to open soon. Then he touched her cheek, near to her lip.. again.. wishing for it to curve into a bright smile, for always.
"You'll be okay.. by tomorrow you'll be fine." no one sure, who would those words comfort most... Masa or Shiho.
Masa fell asleep, holding his sister's hand tightly. Dreaming about tomorrow. Hoping everything would perfectly be fine. In that dream he found himself whispering to his sister.
"From atop a hill, I can see a flower called "you"
That has bloomed in the city, and will bloom again"
