Just read about how even with all the disaster happening, there's no looting in Japan.
National pride. The people of Japan love their country and do what is best for the nation
It’s the Japanese culture - very refined, dignified, disciplined and civilized.
:') I'm so proud of these people. I want to live somewhere with such discipline.
Honestly, I couldn't even imagine what would happen, and how the people would behave here in my country if such event occured.
The queue we have when getting out of train at Tanah Abang Station is somewhat worse than how the Japanese tries to get out of a building when an earthquake occur. get the idea now?
Living here, every once in a while you're going to wonder 'is there even any system that regulates things around?!'. Because a true application of regulation and orderliness are simply nonexistent, well... almost... or just invisible, for the least.
Now remembering things in my head back then in 2008... When i first got into college, and attended this oh-so-sacred event called OKK (some sort of college orientation) which had "bangkit Indonesia" - literally means rise up Indonesia- as the theme for that year.
We love the country more that we love ourselves. We love the people more than we love ourselves.
They made us carved that promise by heart. And yes, I would love to, with whatever I can do, make some change -better changes- to this country.
Because really, no matter how much foul or rottennes you get to see on the people you pass by everyday... Somewhere else, some people really deserve more than whatever they're having now.
oh-so-sacred. it was sacred, really. it's now oh-so-sacred due to how the thought they tried to plant had almost become some sort of bullshit inside my head. Blame my daily Jakarta traffic dose.
I really really want to live in Japan. No, not just because of my unending love for Gotch of AKG, not even for my crushes on JE boys.
Yes, honestly i'm too skeptic to even try making my country move towards this better, ideal, civil society condition. i mean, we have an over melancholic cow as a president... it somewhat shows how wrecked most of our minds are.
Most of us never think about why a regulation is made, therefore never much think how the consequences would be when we disobey. Wondering where our brain went out to?
Most of us do things without really thinking how other would get affected by the action, or at least try to imagine what would happen to ourselves when there's someone doing such act around. Okay, then we said we have heart. Then we said we have intelligence.
Most of us want things to get better, but do nothing to change it. Duh! have you ever heard that doing the same thing in repetition and expecting the result to be different is crazy?
Okay so we have a government so foul that trusting them is partly, if not fully, a sin. or at least will trigger you to be sinful later (from the dischannelled anger they cause). and you hate the politicians. and you feel like killing the corruptors. and so on and so on.
but let's take a look at ourselves. deep down you know all these huge rotten happenings in this country are results of ALL OUR OWN badness piled up together. There's such thing at karma. The deterioration goes in cycle and you know it.
so please people, have a brain, have a mind, have a heart. make things right.
because i almost don't have the will to anymore.
