my review on this pv
it's probably one of the very few Ajikan's pv that's just not 'downright weird'.. if not the only one that is... not that much imaginary world like.. but usual is definitely not ajikan's style.. so it's not indeed..
starting with strumming of guitar for intro... with Ajikan on stage...
here i believe gotoh isn't using his guitar. he used Taneda's guitar, the main male character of the story.. the fender mustang..
a change of frame then we'll see the members of the band walking their own path all alone..
in this PV we can see two sets of Ajikan, one on stage and the other that walk on their own..
in my own perceiving this pv has so many metaphors that my emotion kind of burst out.. i've lost count on how many times i replayed it.. but here is what i perceive :
2 sets of Ajikan.. well the story more revolves on gotoh.. so i'll just say we have 2 gotoh..
one future gotoh, and one past gotoh -the one playing on stage, fully spirited, fueled, alive, no doubt.
this future gotoh seems to be checking on this past gotoh... refering to the lyrics, and perhaps resembling to the plot of the solanin, resembling taneda, 'is this really the right path? what will happen if we hadn't took this path?'
the little piece of future i saw was saying good byethere will be a scene in which future gotoh will sit down and be in a deep thought, gazing at the taneda guitar...
the days that were wasted
getting up..then we will see how he watch the past gotoh's performance... as the lyric says:
perhaps if i'd taken that chance, if i could go back to that day
the thing is, i'll never be able to be that person again
and then they both will sing their heart out
goodbye, that's enougha farewell.. an assurance.. self assuring perhaps..
you can cope anywhere
goodbye, i'll manage somehow toogoodbye, that's what i'll do
past is past.. and we will manage somehow
you will take our path and this is what we've become
and this time around, i think i can manage for both of us too
it was never wrong, it's just different
so we'll manage..
*future gotoh~
past gotoh has the role of both 'past gotoh' as in the real one and taneda as well...
see.. the emotion is overwhelming~
